Where are Bonds Purchased From?

Also known as Order Instruments, in Australia it looks like Bonds are Purchased from the Australian Office of Financial Management.

Click here for the Introduction to Order Instruments.

When Purchasing the Bonds the Customer will need to provide a Purchase Order for the Goods they wish to Purchase. There will be a Record of this Transaction Stored with the Australian Office of Financial Management (AOFM) for Safe Keeping.

In Australia Customers must also be Provided with a Receipt or Proof of Purchase for anything over $75. Therefore there will be a Receipt for this Transaction for both the Financial Institution and the Customer for later use as Required by Law.

The AOFM must store this receipt for One Hundred Years or more if the transaction is over One Million Dollars.
