Reacher Tool or Grabber Tool Design Idea Stolen

Does anybody know I invented this useful Tool everybody in the World seems to find useful?

I invented the Reacher Tool or Grabber Tool for a School Project when I was only 17 Years Old.

I was Studying Year 12 in Canberra at the time.

I believe I was Too Young to get a Patent and had No Funds.

I took my Prototype (Not Shown Above) to a Company that I thought would be interested in it and Money has been made from My Design Idea.

Does anybody know of a Legal Practice or similar that could assist in recovering Money to Compensate or Reward Me for My Design Idea?

Feel free to contribute below if you have More Information and can Validate my Claim.

A Reward May Be Offered (tbc)…

  1. You’re Benjamin Franklin? Cause he invented it in 1786.

    1. Not to my knowledge. Is there evidence he invented it? There is a lot of evidence of his other inventions. As mentioned, I came up with the Idea for a High School assignment in 1988 in Canberra while attending Hawker College. I approached a company who took the Idea as their own and gave it to a company in Perth Australia in 1988. I was too young to get a Patent for this invention. I am prepared to start legal proceedings, however I currently have little money for lawyers. I was accepted at the University of Canberra with this invention in my portfolio. I am sure the University Dean would remember along with my teacher at the College I attended.

      1. To continue our discussion and upon further investigation I understand the Benjamin Franklin Long Arm exists, however the company that used my design was interested in the Lever Mechanism I assembled in the prototype.
I used a Push Bike Break Lever to close the claws used for grabbing items.
It was discussed at the time a company in Perth could not make it work, although they were working on a similar idea. Both companies in Canberra and Perth were suppliers and manufacturers for Disability Product and Equipment.
I understand a rope is used in Benjamin Franklin’s Long Arm device, requiring the need to use both hands. I don’t believe they would be selling many of these devices, excluding the original of course.
